Biography Silke Albrecht

Born 1974, art historian. Studied art history, Italian and American language and literature at the Universities of Marburg (D), Bologna (I) and Bochum (D). Final thesis on Lynn Hershman's Installations. Since 1995 freelancer in the fields of art education in various museums and galleries, such as Pinacoteca Nazionale, Bologna (I); Stiftung Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg (D); TZR Galerie, Bochum (D). 1999 assistant at the exhibition "Connected Cities - Processes of Art in the Urban Network", Stiftung Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg (D); 2000 project management of the symposium "Cross Fair 2000 - The intelligent Stage", Choreographisches Zentrum/PACT Zollverein, Essen (D); 2002 book and DVD editor of the publication "Dance and Technologies. Moving towards Media Productions", ed. by Söke Dinkla and Martina Leeker; February - July 2003 Visiting scholarship at the Künstlerhaus Schloß Balmoral as a project assistant for the making and realisation of BEM - Media Art Days Bad Ems.
